Riding the wave of emotions and change in life can be tough. I want to help you find your anchors.
Anne Parent, MS, LLP
As a therapist, I believe you are inherently capable of growth and change in a way that moves you towards your personal values. As we partner together, my goal is to help you identify your values and grow in resiliency and curiosity to what life has to offer.
I have experience helping those struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, codependency, life transitions, and substance abuse. I have worked across a variety of settings including partial hospitalization inpatient psychiatric, outpatient and nonprofit. My main treatment modalities are Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in and utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction interventions.
During our work together, I strive to cultivate a safe and supportive environment, with warmth, acceptance, and hope sprinkled in. Fair warning- I love a good metaphor!
Everyone is different. Vulnerability can be uncomfortable and scary at times - we can work together to set a pace for sessions that fits you. I believe support is all around us - in nature, in others, and in ourselves. I encourage my clients to build a connection to the world around them in order to live fulfilling lives.
